This week at WMES

March 1, 2021
Dear WMES Families:

Daily COVID Checklist
• Families and staff are asked to do a daily COVID self-assessment before coming to school. This document is updated through the year by Public Health. https://novascotia.ca/coronavirus/docs/Daily-COVID-checklist-en.pdf.
Thanks for your continued support and cooperation.

February was Registration Month –
• Please be sure to remind friends and family that if they have a child ready to start Primary or Pre-Primary in September that they should now be registered for school.  Staffing for the 2021-22 school year will begin this month, and is determined by our registration numbers. Accurate numbers help us staff our schools effectively.  Thanks.

February was a month for all Nova Scotians to celebrate, honour and learn about the rich and glorious history of people of African Descent.  This year, the provincial theme was been: Black History Matters: Listen, Learn, Share, and Act
See some highlights from our classrooms in the attached newsletter.

March is Nutrition Month and this Friday we will be participating in the Big Crunch!  All students and staff will receive a delicious apple from the Vegetorium as a snack on Friday.

Upcoming dates for your calendar:

March 24th – Assessment Day – No school for students
