This Week at WMES - May 31

This Week at WMES – May 31

Dear families:

In light of today’s announcement, we are now in the process of planning for our return to school.
We are very excited to see our students again – beginning on Thursday, June 3rd.

Here are some things you need to know:

Online learning will not be taking place on Tuesday, June 1st, or Wednesday, June 2nd as school based staff prepare for our students return.

All Covid-19 safety procedures remain in place.

  • All students will be wearing a mask unless they are eating/drinking, or outside.
  • We will take every opportunity to maximize outdoor learning times.
  • Frequent hand washing/sanitizing will happen throughout the day.
  • Students will remain cohorted with their class for the remainder of this year.
  • Families are to review the Daily Covid-19 checklist each day before sending students to school.
  • If a student is sick they should not be in school.

School Chromebooks -

  • Chromebooks will need to come back to school on Thursday when your child returns.  These devices are used at school regularly and are needed for in person learning as well.
  • Please be sure to return the cords with the chromebooks as they are also very expensive to replace.
  • The chromebooks will not function over the summer months, so please do not plan on keeping them and returning them in September.

Math Supplies and Books from school:

  • Please be sure to return any math supplies and classroom books that were sent home on Thursday as well. Many of these items are needed for daily lessons and it is important that they also come back in good condition.

We will continue to update you as necessary before Thursdays return.

We are looking forward to seeing all of our students in person, and to ending this school year together.
Thank you for all of your hard work in supporting us through online learning.
