WMES - Back to School Updates 2020

Dear WMES Families:
A few reminders / updates:
• Morning drop offs are going very well.  Thank you all for your cooperation and support.  This week we have been doing attendance and announcements at 8:30am to accommodate for the delayed arrivals.  Next week we are encouraging all families who are dropping off to go back to using the Kiss and Go loop and drop off between 7:40 and 8am. 
If a student arrives after 8am beginning on Monday, they must use the main door entrance. When walking by the office they should knock on the window to let Ms. Fizzard, or someone else in the office, know that they have arrived so they can recorded late.  Thank you.
We will begin doing morning attendance and announcements at 8:00am again beginning on Monday, September 14th.
• Our cafeteria also opens on September 14th.  This year we cannot accept cash orders.  All orders must be placed online.  The links and information to order will be on our website as soon as we have them.

• Tomorrow, Thursday, September 10th is Stand Up Against Bullying Day (Pink Day).  We encourage all of our students to wear pink tomorrow.  The theme this year for Pink Day is Kindness Matters.

• Picture day is Friday, September 18th.  Please be sure to complete the form to let us know which background you prefer. :  https://forms.gle/4zUP1P1h7oSgwArYA . If a form is not completed we go with #1 background as the default.

• Photo consent at school.  Please complete this form to let us know if you give consent for your child’s photograph to be published on our Twitter newsfeed or on our webpage.  Thanks.

• Next week we will send home student registration forms to be checked to ensure information is accurate, and information for parents to sign up for the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
