This Week at WMES

This week at WMES
October 19, 2020
Dear WMES Families:
Halloween 2020 at WMES – There will be no costumes at school this year for Halloween.  On Friday, October 30th we are encouraging everyone to dress in Orange and Black.  We would also like to remind everyone that we can’t bring in treats to share this year.    Anyone who would like to send a photo in of their child(ren) dressed in their costumes can send those to wmlcs@hrce.ca and we will create a slideshow that teachers can share with their classes – a virtual Halloween Parade.  If you would like your child’s picture included please send it in by October 28th.  Thanks to those who have already sent them in.

Flu Shot Clinic -  We are pleased to be offering two Flu Shot clinics for WMES students/staff  and family members this year. The first is on Wednesday, October 21st.  The second one will take place in November – date TBA.  The clinic will be open between 2 and 6pm (or until supply runs out).  Please fill out the attached release form and bring it with you when you come. You must be with your child for them to receive their flu shot at school.   The clinic will be offered in the cafeteria and can only be assessed by the cafeteria’s exterior door. We ask that you follow all social distancing signage outside while waiting.  You must be wearing a mask to be admitted.  If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Wolfe.

Kiss and Go Loop reminders:
• Please do not get out of your car when using the Kiss and Go Loop.  This is an area for quick drop offs please.  If you need to get out of your car to assist your child(ren) please pull into a parking spot, or use the larger bus loop (after buses are finished from 7:50am onwards).
• Please do not pass other cars.  There are sometimes students who need to get out of the cars on the left hand side and we cannot have cars passing in this loop.

Painting Scheduled at WMES –
We have painting scheduled in a few rooms between the 26th of October and the middle of November. The painting will only take place in un-occupied rooms. They will be using Dulux Lifemaster paint which contains no VOC's and virtually no paint odour.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact me at kwolfe@hrce.ca.  Thanks.

Have a great week everyone.
Take care & stay safe
