This Week at WMES
February 7th - 11th

Dear Families:

Please use the Covid19 Daily check before sending your child to school each day.  Thank you for helping us all stay safe and healthy this year.

Some updates for this week:

• A reminder that this Friday is a Professional Development day for staff and there is no school for students on Friday the 18th.

• Monday, February 21st is also the Provincial Heritage Day Holiday and schools will be closed.

• There were changes to the bus schedules last Friday.  If your child is registered for the bus you should have received a notification email. We strongly suggest that you check the bus planner site to see if your child’s before or after school bus information has changed.  https://hrcetransportation.mybusplanner.ca/

• Registering for School
  HRCE begins the registration process in February so that schools are ready to welcome your child in September. You can find everything you need to get started here: hrce.ca/registration .
   

• We will be participating in Winter Walk Day  on January 17th (weather permitting).  Classes will be encouraged to get out and walk around our school neighborhood.  (The sidewalk on Rocky Lake Drive, and School Street). 
  
   
• The Province is asking Nova Scotians 18 years of age and older to share their mental health experiences by filling out a short online survey. This survey is accessible at: https://novascotia.ca/understanding-mental-health-survey .
  The survey asks questions about your experiences with mental health and getting help. What is learned from this survey will inform government’s next steps around addictions and mental health. Please take a few minutes to participate. The survey will be open until at least 18 February 2022.
