Dear WMES Families:

A few updates this week:

• Please continue to use the Covid19 Daily check everyday before sending your child to school. Students who are unwell should not be at school. Thank you for helping us all stay safe and healthy this year.
   
• Please see the attached information regarding Excel Registration for the 2022-23 school year.  
   
• We have COVID Rapid Tests available at school - please let us know if you need some and we’ll send them home with your student, or you can schedule a time to pick some up by calling 902-860-4150.
   
• Introducing SafeArrival by SchoolMessenger
  A New Way for Families to Report Student Absences
  One of our greatest priorities is ensuring all students arrive to school safely each day.
  Parents/guardians of students who attend our school now have the option to report their child’s absence in advance using a toll-free number, the PowerSchool Parent Portal or an app!
  If your child will be absent, please let us know by using one of the following methods:
  
  Toll-Free Number
  Call 1-833-582-6940 to report an absence using an automated system. 
  
  PowerSchool Parent Portal
  Log into https://sishrsb.ednet.ns.ca/public/ and access the SchoolMessenger website to report an absence.  
  
  SchoolMessenger App
  Download the SchoolMessenger app for Android and iOS devices and sign up using your PowerSchool username (full email address).
