A note from our Equity Team:
Dear Parents/Guardians,

Interested students in grade five will soon have an opportunity to partake in our Activist/Social Justice Club. The club’s purpose will be to educate and raise awareness of issues connected with injustice and inequity in society by considering the unique circumstances of different individuals and groups who are impacted by marginalization.

In an age appropriate manner, specific areas of interest will be student determined and  may include but not necessarily limited to systemic racism and oppression, indigenous education, 2SLGBTQIA inclusion, concepts related to empowerment, mental health education, and diversity. The club will promote open dialogue and education with the hope of augmenting existing core values that support inclusivity by helping to sustain a school environment where every person feels welcome and can celebrate what makes them unique.

Kindly reach out to school administration and/or the school counsellor with any questions you may have.

If you are in need of COVID testing kits or masks please let us know.  We can send some home - or you can drop in to pick them up.

Upcoming Dates for your calendar:
January  12th -  SAC meeting at 6pm and  PTC meeting at 7pm
January 27th - Family Literacy Day   (Literacy Week is January 23 - 27th) More info to follow soon.
