COVID 19 Daily Checklist
Monitoring your Child's Health
Our shared health is our shared responsibility. We need families to monitor the health of their child(ren) each day before they come to school using the COVID 19 Daily Checklist. A copy of the checklist is attached. Please keep your child home when they are ill, even if symptoms are mild.
By monitoring daily, you are doing your part to protect our shared health. Thank you.
April 2021 Update:
Documents attached below have been updated to:
-
reflect the current guidance that all Nova Scotians are strongly encouraged to seek COVID-19 testing if they don’t have symptoms or if they only have one mild symptom, particularly if they have a large number of close contacts;
-
switch the focus from whether or not testing is required, to whether individuals are required to isolate while awaiting test results; and
-
reflect the current changes in travel restrictions.
October 8, 2020 Update:
The Province recently announced that improvements are being made to ensure Nova Scotians with symptoms of COVID-19 get tested faster. More information about this announcement is available at, https://novascotia.ca/news/release/?id=20201001005
This announcement highlighted a new online self-assessment tool for COVID-19. It is available at https://covid-self-assessment.novascotia.ca . Families can always call 811 if they can’t access the online tool.
Attached are updated fact sheets that remind families about the steps they can take to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our schools. The fact sheets further reinforce what happens if your child experiences symptoms in school.
Thank you for your continued commitment to protecting the health and safety of all Nova Scotians.
Our shared health is our shared responsibility!
