We want to let you know about student information surveys that all Primary teachers in HRCE will be completing over the next few months.
Please see the attached letter, Parent Info Letter 2025 NS - English.pdf for more information, and please complete this quick survey, Parent Questionnaire EDI 2025 and return to your child's teacher at your earliest convenience. We will send a paper copy home of the questionnaire tomorrow for your convenience.

Early Development Instrument: English and French Immersion program teachers in HRCE schools are completing an Early Development Instrument (EDI) for each Primary student in their class during February, March, or April (17th). This work contributes to a partnership between the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, Regional centres, and McMaster University. Primary teachers will complete questionnaires on the developmental health of their students. The resulting reports provide an important insight into children’s early developmental experiences and how best to support and enhance them – we know that they have a lasting and long-term impact on education, behaviour, and health outcomes.
