MESSAGE TO FAMILIES
Dear Families,
Earlier this week, the Province announced new restrictions for all schools in Nova Scotia to address the rising number of COVID-19 cases. You can read the news release here.
In addition to the enhanced public health measures now in place at all schools, the following reminders are for those entering or riding a bus:
- Masks are required. This mandatory mask rule applies to everyone entering a school bus, including Pre-Primary to Grade 12 students, drivers, monitors, education staff and parents/guardians assisting their child(ren).
- Try to maintain social distancing while waiting for the bus, boarding/exiting the vehicle and when seated. We realize this isn’t always possible, which is why wearing a mask at all times is important.
- Members of the same household should sit together if possible to minimize contact with others.
- Wash/sanitize hands frequently and stay home if you are feeling unwell.
If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to the Student Transportation Team at 902-431-4723 or transportation@hrce.ca.
We know these times are challenging. We appreciate your continued support and cooperation as we work together to keep everyone healthy and safe.
Sincerely,
Mark Mendoza
HRCE Transportation Coordinator
