This week:

• Grade 4 students will be bringing home the reports from the Grade 3 Provincial Assessments from last year this week.  If you have any questions about these reports please reach out to the classroom teachers or Admin.
   

• School Photo Day is October 25th.  Photo retakes will take place on Nov. 10th.
   

• WMES School Clothing is now available to order if you are interested.  Please go to SchoolCashOnline to order.  The options this year for all students are t-shirts (pink, navy or orange) and WMES toques (navy).
  
  Grade 5 students also have the option of ordering a WMES “Grad” hoodie with the date and student signatures on the back.   This option is for Grade 5 students only.
  
  All information to sign up for School Cash Online is also available on our website.   If you have any questions, or are not able to sign up online, please contact the school and we can send home a PDF of the order form.

• Celebrating the Arts at WMES - Please be sure to add December 12th to your calendars to save the date for our first “Celebrate the Arts” night at WMES.  All classes will have performances on the stage throughout the evening, and there will also be a student art show set up throughout the school so that you can wander around with your student and family members if they would like to join us and check out all of the amazing things that have been happening at WMES throughout first term.  We are excited to celebrate our students' hard work with you.
   

• The 2023 North American Indigenous Games is the largest multi-sport event in Canada with over 5,000 Indigenous youth and participants traveling from 756 Nations from across North America. Participants will be sharing their cultures, making new friends and competing in 16 different sports across 21 venues in Halifax, Dartmouth and Millbrook. The Games will be held in Halifax from July 15-23, 2023.

• We are hosting a Family Flu Shot Clinic in our cafeteria on October  26th from 2 to 6pm.  Students must be accompanied by an adult.  All participants must have a valid NS Health card.
   

• If you are in need of COVID testing kits or masks please let us know.  We can send some home - or you can drop in to pick them up.
