Some info for you this week:

• Picture Retake day is this Thursday, October 11th.  
   

• Remembrance Day Walk to Honour our Veterans: On November 10th we will be walking to the Waverley Legion to present wreaths / other signs of remembrance from our students to a member of the Waverley Legion. Please be sure to fill in the permission form online if you can.
  
  If you haven’t filled it in electronically a paper form will come home today or tomorrow.  Please send these back by Wednesday. 
  
  If you, or another family member would like to join us in uniform and walk with us please contact the office this week for details. 
  
  We are also creating a Wall of Honour in our main foyer.  If you have a family member who is serving, or has served our country, please feel free to send in their photo and we will include it on the wall and in our slideshow.  Digital photos are preferred, but we can scan your hard copy of photos if that is easier.   Please include the family member’s name, rank / position, and your child’s information with the photos/ emails.

• We will be having our 3rd fire drill of the year this week.

• If you are in need of COVID testing kits or masks please let us know.  We can send some home - or you can drop in to pick them up.
   

Upcoming Dates for your calendar:

November 10th - School Picture Retake Day.
November 10th - “Walk to Remember” to the Waverley Legion
November 11th - Remembrance Day - No School
November 21st - No School for students. This is an Assessment day for teachers
November 23rd - Grade 4 and 5 students are going to see High School Musical - performed by Halifax Regional Arts students. Permission slips to come home next week.
November 24th - PTC (6pm) and SAC (7PM) meetings in our conference room
November 29th - Report Cards will be emailed home.  (Please make sure we have an updated email if yours has changed).
November 30th - Evening Student Progress conferences
December 1st - No School - PD for staff in the am, Student progress conferences in the afternoon.
December 2nd - No School for students, PD day for staff.
December 12th - “Celebrating the Arts” Night at WMES
December 20th - Last day of school for the Christmas Break
