Dear WMES families:
In light of everything that is happening in our Province we want to ensure that you have this information:
Kids Help Phone is here 24/7 for young people and adults across the province who are experiencing the impacts of wildfires and extreme weather. For e-mental health support, text 686868 (young people), text 741741 (all ages), call 1-800-668-6868 or visit kidshelpphone.ca. There is no issue is too big or feeling too small.

Our PTC is hard at work planning the Spring Fling.

We need volunteers to make it successful!

Updated Contact information:  Report Cards will be emailed out on June 30th.  Please be sure that we have the email address on file that you want the report card sent to. Thanks.
 

Kiss and Go loop: Reminder that passing in the Kiss and Go loop is never permitted unless a staff member is there signalling you to do so. 
 

Class Trips - Some of the trips our students are going on this June will require families to help cover the cost.  When possible we are asking that these payments be made using SchoolCashOnline.  If you don’t already have an account you can login and create one at any point.  This account will stay active for the entire time your child is a student in HRCE so it will most likely be used many times.
Classroom teachers will reach out to let you know if your child’s class trip has any fees associated with it.
If you need some help covering this fee please do not hesitate to reach out!

Grade 5 Closing Celebration:
We will be celebrating our Grade 5 students on June 28th at 1pm. 
Family members are welcome to join us.   We will have a short assembly and then cake and juice in the cafeteria.
If you have a photo of your student that you would like to share for a celebration slideshow, please forward to kwolfe@hrce.ca by June 1st.  Photos could be a baby photo, first day of school photo, or any other special photo you would like to share. Please only send one. :) Thanks.

Tick season is upon us.  It is important to regularly check your student for ticks.  Please check out these tips on Tick Safety from the Province of Nova Scotia.
