Dear WMES families:

Thank you for all of your support over the past few months of school.  We truly appreciate our amazing community.   A special shout out to our staff and our PTC for all of the hard work that was put into our “Celebrate the Arts” night last week.  It was a true team effort from start to finish, and we hope that everyone enjoyed it.

On behalf of the staff and students of Waverley Memorial Elementary School, we would like to wish you a restful and wonderful holiday season.

Some important info for you this week:

• The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development has launched a public engagement on strengthening local voice in our education system. This is a great opportunity to enhance our connection with communities and ensure we are putting students in the best position to be successful. The survey and virtual townhall (ThoughtExchange) can be found at: https://www.ednet.ns.ca/consultations

• If you are in need of COVID testing kits or masks please let us know.  We can send some home - or you can drop in to pick them up.

Upcoming Dates for your calendar:

December 20th - Last day of school for the Christmas Break
January 3rd - First day back to school
