This Week at WMES -September 14th

This week at WMES
September 14 2020

Dear WMES Families:
• Beginning this week you will typically receive most information from me once a week on Monday or Tuesday, unless there is important information that can’t wait.  I appreciate everyone’s patience with the many emails that have come home over the past few weeks.  If you think you may have missed any of them, they are all posted on our webpage at: https://wms.hrce.ca/

• Thank you to everyone who has been dropping off and/or picking up students each day.  We really appreciate everyone’s cooperation and patience.

Safe Arrival: If you are dropping students off after the 8am bell please be sure that they come to main doors to enter so that we know they have arrived safely.  The side and back doors will be locked after 8am.

Student illness:
Everyone should have a copy of the Covid-19 Daily Checklist. You can also find it on our webpage at: https://wms.hrce.ca/wms/parents/covid-19-daily-checklist . Please review it carefully and use it daily to monitor your child’s symptoms.
Our shared health is our shared responsibility. We need families to monitor the health of their child(ren) each day before they come to school.  Please keep your child home when they are ill, even if symptoms are mild, and contact 811. By monitoring daily, you are doing your part to protect our shared health.
Please have a back up plan in case you are contacted through the day to pick your child up from school.  Due to Public Health regulations, we cannot keep students who are ill at school.  Students who experiencing symptoms have to be isolated until they are picked up.  We understand that many of you are in positions that you cannot come right away, which is why it is imperative that you have made arrangements for someone to be available to do this if you cannot.  Thank You.

Cafeteria Update:
Our Cafeteria is open.  There is a link on our webpage to order.  Please ensure that you are including your child’s current class information as all orders are being delivered directly to their class. Thank you!

Emergency Planning:
